Looks like we will have some snow coming our way. Might be slushy though cause it has rain associated with it. Anyone gonna hit the snow this weekend?

Yep, lotta snow up there. My co-workers went up and they said it took them 7 hours to get back from Tahoe. Huh

I remember hearing on the news yesterday that although unlikely, there will possibly be up to 8 FEET of snow dumping on the tahoe basin through the next few storm systems this weekend.  they're realistically thinking half that amount.  either way, it will be nice up there, during, and after all of the dumping.

i have quite a few sugarbowl vouchers from last season, so i went up the weekend before christmas.  the mountain wasn't fully covered, but whatever was covered, was awesome, can't wait til after this storm has passed, i can only imagine.

i hope i don't jinx it, but i hope that this season's snowfall will be much better than last year's dry one.

This year looks better. The snow came earlier than last year. They say that the winds might be too strong and they might close some of the lifts. Also more chances of road closures with the storm that is going to hit the next couple days.

yeah i hear ya.  now that the storm has started, it's for sure not going to be worth going up to the tahoe area this weekend.  it's gusty and harsh here in the bay, i can only imagine how it'd be up on the slopes.

next weekend though looks VERY promising.  the storm will supposedly turn into light snow showers on thursday and friday, making way for a clear saturday.  I think next weekend will be the best weekend so far.

if anyone's going up this weekend, safe driving and cheers!
